RAVENNA-BASED ACE PRODUCTS & CONSULTING ACQUIRES GEOANALYTICAL, INC.

Companies Join Forces to Expand Analytical Testing Capabilities and Provide Top-Tier Services for Clients

Ravenna, OH, August 3, 2020 – ACE Laboratories, a leading rubber and silicone industry material testing laboratory, is pleased to announce its acquisition of GEOAnalytical, Inc. GEOAnalytical, Inc. will maintain its environmental analytical testing services within ACE’s 22,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art, ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, located at 6800 North Chestnut Street in Ravenna.

For nearly 30 years, GEOAnalytical, Inc. has focused on soil and groundwater testing to ensure safe environments and industry compliance. The EPA-certified company was a key player in establishing the rules for the Ohio Voluntary Action Program (VAP), which gives individuals a way to investigate possible environmental contamination and clean it up as necessary without punitive repercussions.

By acquiring GEOAnalytical, ACE Laboratories expands its services into a new market, while growing its current offering within the rubber and silicone market. The physical resources that GEOAnalytical brings, such as machinery, equipment, and other assets, will further increase the analytical options ACE can provide to the rubber industry.

Tom Morsefield, President and Owner of GEOAnalytical, Inc., is happy to see GEOAnalytical transition to a company that shares the same values for service and customer support.

The decision to join ACE was a simple one since we share the same values, which are to provide excellent customer service, a focus on data integrity, consistency in turnaround, and staying responsive to the needs of our clients,” said Morsefield. “With the additional resources that ACE can provide, GeoAnalytical will be able to grow and improve its level of service by developing additional analytical capabilities and more fully assisting with ACE’s ongoing and changing project requirements.”

Erick Sharp, President & CEO of ACE Laboratories, was also struck by how compatible GEOAnalytical’s culture was with ACE’s.

The service culture that Tom built at GEOAnalytical is a natural fit with ACE,” said Sharp. “I have always believed that one of the most important factors when building or expanding a testing facility is that you have the right people on your team. It’s obvious to me that Tom shares that same vision.”

According to Sharp, ACE will continue to invest in GEOAnalytical to grow and expand its environmental analytical services.
