Ravenna OH, March 12, 2018 – ACE Laboratories has hired Doug Hartley as vice president of sales and marketing. His responsibilities include overseeing daily sales and marketing activities at ACE, managing a team of highly-skilled independent sales agents and an internal sales team and developing marketing and branding strategies for ACE in the marketplace. Hartley will also represent ACE within rubber organizations and at industry events. Erick Sharp, president and CEO of ACE Laboratories, made the announcement.

“Doug has been a mentor to me for many years,” said Sharp. “It is an honor to have him working on the ACE team. His network and reputation in the industry are invaluable.”

Hartley has worked in many leadership capacities in the rubber industry for over forty-four years. He brings a wealth of executive insight and sales experience to ACE along with extensive knowledge of key customers and suppliers.

“I have tremendous respect for many individuals in the rubber industry,” said Hartley. “Erick is one of those and I consider him to be a great, young leader who works harder than anyone I’ve ever met. He values our customers, suppliers and employees and demonstrates that in everything he does.”

Hartley noted that the market is in-need of what the ACE team offers in terms of passion, quality, on-time delivery and consistent follow-through on promises to customers.

“It’s all about the relationships we have with people,” he said. “I have a strong desire to give back to the rubber industry and to pay it forward to young, dynamic leaders coming up, like Erick.”

Hartley is planning his first national sales meeting and looks forward to filling a niche for customers as their problem-solver partner.
