The accelerated aging test method evaluates the changes in physical properties of vulcanized rubber when exposed to elevated temperatures. It measures and assesses the change in physical & chemical properties.
Oxidative and thermal aging can have some adverse effects on rubber products over time, causing them to deteriorate beyond a functional state. The accelerated aging test ensures that you can predict its performance in a given application. The testing is performed in air at a specified temperature and over a specific time period with properties measured prior to and then after the high temperature exposure.
